Flagkit started a few years back after realising the need for people to find, order and pay for flags over the internet from the comfort of their computer.
We specialise in small orders and aim to have every self-respecting company in South Africa fly a custom corporate flag and the national flag from their premises or home.
Good quality, customer service and going the extra mile are our strengths and we're glad to add another wonderful service to this great nation.
All our fabrics are printed using the disperse dye system, where the designs are dyed into the fabric, for the highest light fastness and durability. We happily support the local textile industry and try to ensure everything we sell is produced locally, right from the source. As wonderful as China is, we strive to keep local employment figures as high as possible.
We are 100% BEE compliant and we long to see the SA economy become beneficial to all.
More specific questions answered:
Payment can be made via Bank Transfer or with a Credit Card. We will send you payment details via e-mail once you have compiled your order. Payment is required before delivery. All prices seen on the website are inclusive of vat.
Flag Kit delivers anywhere in South Africa. Standard delivery is via courier company and usually takes around a week from when payment is received and costs R75 no matter the quantity of flags you buy.
Can you get flags to us more urgently?
Yes. We can move your order up the queue and push production. This will incur a surcharge on the price of your flags.
Can I collect from your offices?
We are an online retail company so we generally deliver via door-to-door courier for R75 anywhere in the country. We can however make exceptions if you live right by us or are in urgent need of your flags and can't wait for delivery.
How long will it take for delivery of my poles?
Poles go on road freight due to their size. If you are on a major route (e.g. N1, N2) it could be as quick as 1 or 2 days but allow for up to 5.
How much will pole delivery cost?
We service the entire country every 3 months and can deliver relatively cheaply. If you need your poles more urgently we use a courier and we'll have to quote you according to your circumstances.
Do you rent flags?
Not anymore. To many troubles in the past.
Is there a discount for bulk orders of flags?
Yes. 10% for 50 or more, 15% on 100 or more.
What if I want a special size flag?
The general rule in many flags is that they must stay in proportion and not be 'edited'. For example the proportion of 3:2 is standard for country flags and we will not print the red in the SA flag in pink and thereby change it. Custom flags you can obviously do what you like.
Can you deliver flags overseas?
We do on occasion deliver to the U.K (generally for expats). It costs around R300 via the post office and we unfortunately cannot guarantee safe delivery. You will need to take up any delivery problems directly with the post office.
Where can I buy these flags from a physical shop?
You can't - generally. That is why we exist and are here to help.
Do you sell Manchester United flags etc.?
No. Some flags are copyrighted and we don't have the rights to sell them.
Mill Finish is the natural appearance of the aluminum as it comes from the rolling or extrusion mill. It is 'as is' with no external mechanical or chemical finishing. Extruded metal is considered "mill finish". All aluminum has an oxide with varying thickness. Anodizing is a very heavy controlled oxide.
Anodizing is an electrolytically formed and controlled heavy oxide. Mill Finish is a very lightly oxidized film and will wipe off with your bare finger and immediately form again. Rolled sheet aluminium would probably have a thinner oxide than hot extruded aluminum.
